Teacher Appreciation Week

Are You Ready For It?

Buckle up because we're about to take Teacher Appreciation Week to a whole new level of awesome! Get ready to dive into a week filled with Swiftie vibes and major appreciation for the real rockstars - our amazing teachers!

Picture this: Taylor Swift meets the classroom - that's the vibe we're bringing this Teacher Appreciation Week. Our teachers are the real MVPs, just like Taylor, and it's time to celebrate their awesomeness in style.

From the Fearless first-years to the seasoned Red veterans, we're giving a shoutout to every teacher who's been spending their time creating classrooms that feel like a T. Swift concert and making the school halls a whole lot cooler. Below, you’ll find a list of ideas for how you can bring Taylor to your Teacher Appreciation Week, plus several free downloads to help bring the vision to life!

Shake It Off: Create a milkshake or smoothie bar for your teachers! Let them shake up something for breakfast in the morning or a sweet after-school treat. These are some cups that could double as a gift or plastic if you’re looking to save money!

Love Story: Show your teachers how much you love them with a gift. You could give them a new book like Bashing Boredom, a school t-shirt, a notebook, a keychain, or a nice canvas bag! If you want other ideas that wouldn’t cost anything, the leadership team could cover recess for the week to give teachers an extra break (one grade level per day), or you could write a personal note or email to each teacher.

Eras: Host a type of “bar” in the teacher’s lounge and tagline it. This could look like a caramel apple bar with the tagline “In my Apple Era,” or for something funny, you could have a drink bar with the tagline “In my Drinking Era.” Complete your bar area with a bright tablecloth and themed plates, napkins, and cups. Here is a set of plates and napkins that follow the Swiftie theme! If you’re looking for something that isn’t food related, you could use the “In my Teaching Era” tagline and set up a table of school supplies that your teachers may need at this point in the year! We all know that by May, the Expo markers, pencils, glue sticks, and headphones have all gone missing! You could also incorporate some colorful pens, cute sticky notes, and dry erase pocket folders!

Wildest (or mildest) Dreams: Host a taco bar for your staff and have an assortment of taco sauces and toppings. Teachers can make wild or mild tacos and fixings, depending on what they like! Let your PTO know your plans, or send out a message to all parents asking for donations to help save time and money! These plates would make the perfect addition to any taco bar!

You Need to Calm Down: Help your teachers destress and relax with a relaxation kit! You can either build the kit yourself or have all the supplies out on a table in the lounge and let teachers build their own kits to their liking! Your table (or kits) could consist of bath bombs, candles, chapstick, teas, bath salts, shower steamers, masks, hand lotions, etc. Use these little gift bags to hold all of the supplies for your teachers!

Sweet Nothings: Host a sweets bar or have a local bakery make cookies or cupcakes to give teachers a sweet treat. You could even bring in pastries and muffins one morning for breakfast as a thank you to your teachers!

If you’re looking for more Taylor Swift add-ins to sprinkle in throughout the week, here are some fun Swiftie stickers, a Taylor playlist, and trivia questions you could pose to your staff!
