Teacher Appreciation Week

It’s important to make sure teachers know how much they are valued and appreciated. Teacher Appreciation Week is a great time to show teachers how much they really mean to you and to the school, but these “bright” ideas could make teachers feel appreciated any day!

Day 1: Sticky Notes and Highlighters
Kick off Teacher Appreciation Week with these sticky notes. They are bright, fun and versatile. You could write their name, a quote (“It takes a big heart to shape little minds”), or a short note (keep brightening up our lives!) on the top one before giving it to them. Combine the notepads with these bright highlighters they could use for color coding, planning or notes. They would be a great token of appreciation to place in the teacher's mailboxes on day 1!
Day 2: Coffee Bar
School days start early and the kids show up with their energy levels on full! Brighten teachers’ day with a morning coffee bar that has fruit, donuts and coffee! You could have coffee brought in from a local coffee shop or restaurant or buy a variety of K-Cups to use with a couple Keurigs in the teachers lounge. If you’re sticking with the “Bright” theme these cups Coffee Cups go perfectly! You could even make copies of these signs to set around!
Day 3: Make it Happen Notepads & Pen
Everyone knows to do lists can get long, but this Make It Happen Notepad makes keeping a to do list simple and easy to prioritize! Teachers are always making lists, and this notepad helps organize those lists in a creative, yet effective way! Wrap the notepad and a flair pens in ribbon with a cute tag for a practical and fun gift!
Day 4: Inspirational Journal
These inspirational notebooks would be a great way to show teachers your appreciation for them and to encourage them to journal or reflect on the positive things that happen daily. Write them an inspirational note or personal message on the first page, and challenge them to keep it going! Taking time to recognize the positive things that happen helps teachers remember the reason they got into education, even on the hard days!
Day 5: Lunch
End Teacher Appreciation Week on a high! Teachers always love having lunch provided for them! It breaks up the monotony of a packed lunch while also saving them time in the morning! These fun plates and napkins go along with our BRIGHT theme. If your school has the funds, get a local restaurant to cater lunch. If not, you could have a taco/nacho bar or baked potato and salad bar. They are both easy and cost effective to do, and the food can be kept warm in crockpots all day! Your PTA might help supply toppings, sides and desserts if you reach out to them!
Teachers work hard to BRIGHTEN the lives of their children and help them grow every day. They work long hours, balance heavy workloads and high expectations along with their personal lives and still show up with their best effort each day! Let’s take this week to make them feel valued, respected and seen. The more we pour into their cup, the more they have to pour into our students!
